About University

Urgench Innovative University is one of the prestigious non-governmental higher educational institutions that began its activities in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The university was established in 2022 and currently operates on the basis of License No. 391340 issued by the State Inspectorate for Quality Control in Education under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.


Today, nearly 4,000 students are studying at Urgench Innovative University across 10 undergraduate programs and 4 master’s degree specialties in full-time and part-time formats. The university employs 90 professors and lecturers as well as 122 administrative and technical staff members.


The educational process is conducted according to the credit-modular system, with extensive use of modern information and communication technologies. Lecture halls, computer classrooms, and the library are equipped with multimedia projectors, as well as video and audio systems.

The university is home to the Faculty of Social and Humanitarian Sciences and Pedagogy. The curricula are developed based on the Law “On Education,” the “State Educational Standard,” and the “Qualification Requirements,” aiming to educate well-rounded individuals committed to both national and universal human values.

Urgench Innovative University has established cooperation with numerous international institutions, including Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno, H. Dosmukhamedov University of Atyrau, the North Caucasus State Academy, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, E.A. Buketov Karaganda University, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, Altai State University, Brest and Leningrad universities named after A.S. Pushkin, Orenburg State University, Yaroslavl Pedagogical University, the Belgian Council of Education, and many others.

In 2024, the university organized an international scientific-practical conference on “Current Issues of Social and Humanitarian Sciences in the Development of Modern Science.” Students and faculty members also actively participate in publishing academic journals, international projects, and educational exchange programs.

Future development plans include launching online education programs, expanding academic exchange initiatives with Asian and European countries, and constructing a 7-storey academic building along with a 4-storey student dormitory.

The main mission of the university is to train modern, innovative, and globally competitive specialists who contribute to the development of society through education and upbringing.
